I think that Pete Van Horn was the most calm person in the story, I mean he wasn't in the story that much, but he was brave enough to go to another street when it was really dark out. No one else in this story was mature enough to think about going to the other streets to see if they were like their street too.

A suggestion: Put the citations at the end, after you have returned a couple of times. That keeps it from looking like it's part of the content.
